Conservative MP Confident Corn Farmers Can Fill Demands
December 23, 2008

The Conservative Member of Parliament for Elgin-Middlesex-London backs the Ontario Corn Producers Association regarding the long-term feasibility of corn-based ethanol.

Joe Preston praised the productive nature of Canadian agriculture.

He is confident Ontario farmers are able to satisfy demands created by expansion of the corn-based ethanol industry.

Preston represented the federal government at the recent opening of the IGPC ethanol production facility in Aylmer.

He suggests that domestic and US ethanol expansion efforts are a development worth supporting.
