St. Thomas - Joe Preston, Member of Parliament for Elgin-Middlesex-London joined community leaders in St. Thomas to discuss solutions for the area.

Annie Robert, member of OPSEU coordinated the event with fellow leaders Cliff Barwick~ Mayor of St. Thomas, Dennis Broome~ Chair of the Economic Development Corpation, Graham Warwick~ Warden of Elgin, David Kerr~ President of the Labour Council, Steve Peters~ MPP for Elgin-Middlesex-London and Bob Hammersley~ President and CEO of the St. Thomas and District Chamber of Commerce taking part in the 2 1/2 hour panel.

Approximately 50 members of the community took part in discussions searching for options to assist the area during this worldwide economic downturn. Members of the floor labelled the working group “the group of seven” with plans to work together for future results.
