Area politicians are fighting to save Ford Talbotville. CAW officials met with all levels of government in Queens Park. Elgin-Middlesex-London MP Joe Preston and MPP Steve Peters were there along with municipal mayors. Everyone in attendance said the meeting was very positive and that Ford had a plan to move forward. Preston said they gave the automotive company support and indicated Ford Talboltville's enthusiasm to be part of the restructuring plan. Earlier Ford had told its union that it had no plans for the plant past September 2011.
