Pre- Budgets Roundtables Held in
Elgin-Middlesex-London

Joe Preston, Member of Parliament for Elgin-Middlesex-London met with three (3) stakeholder groups for pre-budget consultations. Preston hosted Business leaders, Agricultural producers and Municipal leaders. Newly elected Member of Provincial Parliament, Jeff Yurek, joined the discussions.

“Gathering ideas from all parties in order to make better policies is always the best plan”, said MP Joe Preston. “Cooperation in Elgin-Middlesex-London with all levels of government has become a way of life and it is working for us.”

Topics included rural economics; infrastructure; productivity as well as successful programs introduced in previous budgets.

Bill Walters, Warden for the County of Elgin and Mayor of Central Elgin thanked Joe and Jeff for hosting the meeting and having open dialogue with all levels of government. “These types of discussions help us break down barriers and streamline processes. I appreciate having the opportunity to have these types of discussions.”

Next week, Preston will be meeting with stakeholders in West Elgin.
