OUR VISION
To establish a Big Band Museum/Hall of Fame in Port Stanley, dedicated to the history of the Stork Club, the display of big band memorabilia, and the revival and enjoyment of Swing Era music through ongoing public events such as dances, concerts and festivals.

Other members include: Craig Cole, Richard Haddow, Linda Hibbert, Sue Goguen, Terry Carroll, and cheerleader, Dorothy Downs!

ACCOMPLISHMENTS TO DATE

• THE GLENN MILLER ORCHESTRA 700+ people danced to the music and watched as the orchestra was inducted into our Big Band Hall Of Fame. Co-hosted by, and held at, Quai du Vin Estate Winery, June 22/08.
• Moved to our present location - Festival Theatre Building, 302 Bridge St., Suite 3, Port Stanley, Jan./08.
• Stork Club Revisited Dance with the first induction into the Hall of Fame: The Johnny Downs Orchestra, Nov. 26/07.
• Participated in Port Stanley/Sparta ‘Doors Open’ program with a Big Band display at the Festival Theatre, Harbourview Room, Oct. 13/07
• Community Yard Sale Fundraiser, July 15/07.
• Information Centre opened, 177 Main Street, Port Stanley, May 1/07.
• Charitable status granted: Jan. /07.
• Began a formal Business Plan-Feasibility Study for the new venue.
• Official Stork Club logo: applied for (2006) and approved (Apr./07)
• Board of Directors formed, Nov. 22/06.

SPIRIT OF THE STORK CLUB MUSIC FESTIVAL, Port Stanley

Events and location:
DJ WOLFEMAN DANCE, Friday 8PM to 12AM at the Arena, 332 Carlow Rd. Tickets $15./person AND
TORONTO ALL STARS BAND – Dance, Sat. 8PM to 1AM, at the Arena, 332 Carlow Rd. Street, Port Stanley. Snacks and cash bar available. Tickets $25/person.

Other groups will play in the village Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

PORT STANLEY DANCE CLUB
